Update on my next book: Love’s True Destiny

I have received a lot of wonderful e-mails from many of you asking about my next novel. In my last post, I mentioned my book, Love’s True Destiny, and wanted to take a few moments to give you a quick update.

As I mentioned, my sixth novel (and first in my new series) is completed. It has gone through all of my own revisions (lord help me I couldn’t leave it alone),to my beta reader (who helps me because at times I get so focused I can’t see the forest for the trees), and then finally went to my editor who, of course, had more tweaks and suggestions. My manuscript is now polished and I’m so excited and proud…I can’t wait for you all to read it.

In the time since I have completed all of the revisions, I have been sending out query letters to try and find a literary agent to represent me. Unfortunately, agents and publishers will only look at unpublished manuscripts, so I have been holding back on publishing it, until I hear back from the agents I have queried. If any of you have experience in this process, you know that it’s arduous at best, frocked with rejection, silence and me haunting my e-mail account like you wouldn’t believe.

Rest assured though, in between all of this, I have been steadfastly working on the second book in this series and have even mapped out the third novel. If I don’t hear anything by January, I will resume with my current publisher and promise to have the next book in your hands the beginning of 2016.

Thank you all again for staying in touch with me and letting me know you’re there. As a writer it’s easy to sit at your laptop and get lost in the worlds you create. You all keep be grounded and remind me every day that I write, not just because I love it, but also because you care enough to read them!

Thank you for that…I’ll update you soon!
